ELCUT is a 2D finite element analysis software system for
IBM PC compatibles. It can be used for the various fields of
application.
This package allows you to analyze electrostatic,
magnetostatic and heat transfer problems up to 500 nodes,
and linear stress analysis problems up to 200 nodes (400
degrees of freedom). Problems should be either plane-
parallel or axisymmetric.
ELCUT directory contains two subdirectories:
BIN - this subdirectory contains all the files
needed to run ELCUT;
EXAMPLES - this subdirectory contains example problems;
and three ASCII files:
README - this file;
MANUAL.DOC - system documentation;
FORM.REG - registration form.
ELCUT.BAT file starts the system from the EXAMPLES
directory.
ELCUT is very easy-to-use software, you can learn it just
working with it. So copy this archive to the hard disk with
all subdirectories, and go ahead!
If you find ELCUT useful, you are encouraged to register
your copy (please, fill in the form enclosed).
If your problem requires more fine mesh - don't worry. Our
team has developed a more powerful version of our software.
That allows you to solve the problems up to 100,000 degrees
of freedom on any IBM PC compatible under MS-DOS. Speed of
our advanced solver (50,000 nodes for 8 minutes on
AT/386/387, 8MB RAM, 25MHz) will meet all your requirements.
The preconditioning based on the domain decomposition
technique guaranties very high speed and very weak
dependence between number of nodes and the required time of
solution.
